"We Are the World" is a song written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, produced and conducted by Quincy Jones and recorded by 45 top-pop 1980s musicians, billed as USA For Africa, to raise funds to help famine-relief efforts in Ethiopia. They only could schedule the record in the same night of the 1985 Grammy Awards. In the next year's Grammy, the music was awarded 3 times.
